Often unrepaired windshield chips will spread into costly windshield replacements. Most people are unaware that with modern technology we can repair a chip permanently and prevent it from stretching or spreading. Most insurance companys will waive your deductible and in many cases the repair is free. A windshield is made of two parts, glass and pvb (basicly a thin layer of vinyl) and has three layers (glass pvb & glass). The outside layer is the most effected on windshield chips. First we clean the damaged area and place our machine on your windshield. We then remove any moisture from the area with our machine on its vaccum cycle. Next we inject a clear high quality resin into the impact point on the break, this fills the void inbetween the glass on the first layer and the pvb on the second layer. restoring most of the clarity in the glass. We then cure the area with a uv lamp. We then polish the repaired area. Cosmetically most repairs clear the area up to 80%.
